Charles III With Queen Elizabeth

Charles III, Prince Charles, sometimes known as Charles Philip Arthur George, is the current monarch of the United Kingdom. He advanced quickly in the royal echelons, earning titles like Lord of the Isles, Baron of Renfrew, Duke of Cornwall, and Duke of Rothesay, among others. His governess, Catherine Peebles, was in charge of his schooling from the time he was five to eight years old.

Charles attended Hill House Academy. Stuart Townend, the school’s founder, suggested coaching him in football to help him fit in and get along with the other children. Later, he attended the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School and Cheam Preparatory School. In order to join the British Armed Forces, he went straight from secondary school to university. He studied history, anthropology, and archaeology at Trinity College in Cambridge. Later, he enrolled in the University College of Wales, where he studied Welsh history and the language. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree, he went on to Cambridge to earn his Master of Arts degree.

During his second year at Cambridge, he received training for the Royal Air Force, and at the Royal Air Force College Cranwell, he later received training to become a jet pilot. His six-week term at the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth marked the beginning of his naval career. He contributed to the development of the guided missile destroyers HMS Norfolk, Jupiter, and Minerva (frigates). He completed the helicopter pilot training at RNAS Yeovilton in 1974 and enlisted in the 845 Naval Air Squadron.

His final ten months of active duty in the navy were spent in command of the coastal minehunter HMS Bronington. He learned how to fly a Beagle Basset multi-engine trainer, a Chipmunk basic pilot trainer, and a BAC Jet Provost jet trainer. Even though he began piloting BAe 146, Hawker Siddeley Andover, and Westland Wessex aircraft, he stopped flying after BAe 146 crashed near him in the Hebrides.

He was involved in the uproar caused by the “Paradise Papers,” 13.4 million electronic documents that exposed his offshore holdings and were published in November 2017.
